i was planning to buy iphone 6 plus, and so was doing research, and found out the price to be whooping 82000+ that too unlocked, as it is not yet released in India
iphone has a clever marketing strategy, they make iphone buyers feel special by having a very high price, so not many people can afford and only rich can have it, having it makes the buyer feel like he is an elite class and can boast about it, really there is nothing that great in iphone 6, its just a clever marketing strategy
i will compare it with samsung galaxy S5, which is available for less than half the price of iphone 6 plus
i will compare with the main things, things which really matters
samsung s5 camera, samsung s5 camera is 16 megapixel, while iphone 6+ is just 8 mega pixel
so samsung scores here s5+1
camcorder, samsung is 30 frames per second, while apple is 60 frames per second with hd recording
so iphone +1
display size, samsung s5 is 5.1 and iphone6+ is 5.5 inches,so here iphone+1
front facing camera samsung 2.1 mega pixels while apple 1.2
s5+1
system memory Samsung 2048 mb while apple 1024mb
so samsung+1
storage expansion Samsung has support for memory card, you can increase your storage memory, while in apple no memory card support so Samsung +1
price Samsung 38000 around, while apple 82000+ as of now
so Samsung +1
sound quality, apple sound quality is good, but Samsung sound quality is not so good
so apple+1
Samsung score is 5
apple score is 3
and also Samsung has android it is open source and lot of software's are available for it, while apple has limited software's
you can clearly see in many cases apple is behind the Samsung in many features, and yet the price is more than double
people who are rich want something which normally nobody have, it is a thing to boast, it is normal tendency of people costly means more quality, but its generally not.
in the past Nokia phones were costly, but Chinese phone less than half the price of Nokia had the best features, and some features were not available on any other mobile phones
