Asus PadFone mini Smartphone-Tablet Hybrid

Asus has launched its PadFone mini smartphone-tablet hybrid in India, priced at Rs. 15,999.

At first, announced at CES 2014, the Asus PadFone mini runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and is

skinned with Asus' ZenUI, which is also seen on the company's ZenFone series of smartphones.

The company has promised an Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade for the PadFone mini.




Featuring a 4-inch WVGA (480x800-pixel) IPS+ display, the dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) Asus PadFone

mini ships with a tablet dock that is built around a 7-inch WXGA (1280x800-pixel) IPS+ display.

The PadFone mini is powered by a dual-core 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor, joined or

connected  with 1GB of LPDDR2 RAM.

The dimensions of the phone are 124.42x61.44x11.2mm, while the tablet measures

199.85x119.43x13.91mm. The phone weighs in at 116 grams, while the tablet dock weighs 260

grams.

Connectivity options on the Asus Padfone mini include GPRS/ EDGE, HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n,

Bluetooth v4.0, and Micro-USB.

The Asus PadFone mini has 8GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). It

sports an 8-megapixel 'PixelMaster' rear f/2.0 BSI camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing

camera. The smartphone is supported by a 1,170mAh non-removable battery while the tablet

dock packs an added more 2,100mAh non-removable polymer battery.

The PadFone mini will be available in Yellow, Red, Blue, White and Black.
